North American Migration
Count Results
Allegheny County (May 11, 2002)
Compiled by Paul Hess
Listed below are the results of this year's North American
Migration Count in Allegheny County.
The results have been submitted to Bill Etter, the Pennsylvania
coordinator, who will compile and analyze the state results
for publication in the magazine Pennsylvania Birds. Then
he'll send them on to the national coordinator Jim Stasz
in Maryland.
Our total of 132 species is second most in the county's
eight years of NAMC reporting and the 29 warbler species
tie our record. A successful day indeed!
