Become a Mentor
for NatureLink
August 16-18, 2002
Here is a Great Opportunity to GET OUT THERE and share
your passion with others that may not have had the chance
to learn about the outdoors!
NatureLink, The Outdoor Adventure Weekend sponsored by the
Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and the Western Pennsylvania
Field Institute is currently seeking outdoors-oriented individuals,
couples or families to mentor underserved families for one
weekend in August.
Naturelink is a family-oriented outdoor program designed
to help families with little or no outdoor experience GET
OUT THERE! With your help, NatureLink will provide a weekend
opportunity for families to start to feel safe in exploring
Western Pennsylvania's beautiful natural environment.
If you enjoy the outdoors and want to share your passion
with others, you can serve as a mentor or a volunteer.
As a mentor, you commit to sharing your outdoor knowledge
with a specific family for the entire weekend.
As a volunteer, you commit to helping with one or more specific
activities (fishing, nature walks, canoeing, campfire, ecology,
etc.) as all the families participate in these activities.
NatureLink happens August 16-18, 2002 at McKeever Environmental
Learning Center, Sandy Lake, Mercer County. Meals and lodging
are provided.
