World
Series of Birding
May 14, 2005
(Ross Gallardy)
On May 14, 2005, Tom Johnson, Zach Baer, Andy Bankert, and myself, Ross Gallardy, will once again be participating in the youth division of the World Series of Birding. Last year our total count for the day was 183 species and we came in 2nd place. We also set the youth division record by raising over $8,000 to benefit different conservation organizations. This year we are being sponsored by both Dixie Crossroads (a great seafood restaurant in
Florida) and Nikon. Our goals are to be the first youth team to see over 200 species and also to break our old record by raising over $10,000. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The two conservation groups I am raising money for this year are the Allegheny Front Hawkwatch and the Buffalo Creek IBA #22. There are different ways to pledge. Many people will pledge a certain amount per species seen, but any donation is certainly acceptable and appreciated. After the event, everyone who has sent in a pledge form will receive a short summary of the competition and a list of the birds seen.
Please print this pledge form page and cut below the dotted
line.
